Good morning dear readers. I have been away from the blog for quite some time and without explanation too. I would like to apologise for the unexplained hiatus. I have been away on a professional course in South Western Nigeria for the past three weeks. I underestimated the workload involved and the challenges of settling into an environment as unfamiliar as this. I have been meaning to write a new blog post for quite some time now but have been struggling to do so.

However, I have been compiling some prayers over the last year concerning my life. I call them my ‘life declarations’ and I would like to share them with you. I hope you will be blessed by them.

I will be done with this course in another three weeks. I cannot promise to write during that time as I will be preparing for my professional examinations but if I have anything to share then I will certainly do so. I will also endeavour to reply any comments made on the blog during that time. All I ask is that you keep me in your prayers over this period of time. I am ever so grateful for all your support. LIFE DECLARATIONS

Lord God, I have faith in Christ Jesus and love in my heart for all the saints. I give you thanks and ask that you, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, and my glorious Father, may give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation and of insight into mysteries and secrets, so that I may have a deep and intimate knowledge of Christ. I pray also that the eyes of my heart may be flooded with light in order that I may know the hope to which he has called me, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints — those, like myself, that he has set apart. Reveal yourself to me so that I can know and understand the incomparably great power you have for us who believe. You demonstrated this power in the working of your mighty strength, which you exerted in Christ when you raised him from the dead and seated him at your right hand in the heavenly realms…Thank you Lord God that you intercede for me at the right hand of the Father; show me your purpose, your will for my life, give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation as it relates to Your calling on my life, and it is in your name that I pray. Amen

Like Gideon, I declare that my life is like a glove that only fits the hand of God. Father ask the Spirit to clothe Himself with me. Possess me Lord. Possess me!

Let my life count for your glory Lord

Make me more like your Son Jesus

Glorify yourself in and through me Lord

Give me divine wisdom beyond my years Lord

I come against the enemy, his servants, their works and effects in Jesus name

May my life be a source of pleasure to God

Immerse me in your consuming fire until there’s none of me left and only You

Lord give me wisdom beyond my years. Father, grant me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of the glorious Lord Jesus Christ. May I be preserved by Your hand to become a veteran for the people of the next generation, to pass on to them treasures from the war chest. In Jesus name. Amen

Father I want to seek after love, and I truly want to have the spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.

I am made for the praise of Your glory. Let my life match my calling in Jesus name.

Father God, I have felt sorry for myself, I have complained and have wanted to quit. But I’m not going to quit. Put Your Spirit of grace and prayer upon me so that I can tenaciously press through every obstacle. You are working in me to desire to work for what pleases You. Make me blameless in Your sight, without fault in my generation. I want to shine brilliantly with Your glory and hold on to You in every situation. My labour is for You. My life is for You.

I will walk within my house blameless. I will set before my eyes no vile thing.

But my horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil.

Jesus, only You can satisfy me. Stir holy passion within me. I want to be fully alive in You. Draw me to Yourself. I want to run with You. Capture my gaze and provoke my heart to a greater love for You. You are altogether lovely and the delight of my life. Take my breath away.

Holy Spirit I do not know how to pray as I should. Help me. Thank You for the privilege of entering into the heart of Jesus. Go beyond my thoughts and words and pray through me in whatever way You choose. Release through me effective intercessions that release Your longings and accomplishes Your will.

Father of glory, draw me close to Your heart so I can hear Your heart for those around me. Lord Jesus, for the sake of Your great name, release the gifts of Your Holy Spirit through me. Just as You – the Word – became flesh and dwelt among the human race, I want to be Your word in my sphere of influence so others can see Your glory and Your kingdom advance in the earth.

Lord help me to love You for You. Search my heart and expose any hidden motives for wanting Your power. Let it not be about fame, ambition or being celebrated as a spiritual giant. Let my desire not centre only on the outward clothing of the Spirit’s power but on the inward filling of the Spirit’s life. May the hidden man of my heart not remain unchanged. I want to be broken and inwardly transformed rather than outwardly gifted but inwardly unchanged.

Keep me O Lord from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be pleasing in your sight O Lord. Make me a man after Your own heart like David was.
