This is simply one of the best sermons I’ve ever heard preached on the subject of the ‘Fear of the Lord’. Many preachers have left us confused about what this really means. Even more have neglected this crucial part of our walk with God. David Ravenhill’s sermon will impart something in your heart as you watch this video.

Hi his vision! I’m sorry you came across my blog when I decided to take an unexpected break from blogging. I didn’t want my writing becoming mechanical and stale so I took a step back to ask God for a fresh approach. I will hopefully be back doing what I love from Monday and I hope to see more of you on the blog. Thank you
Hi Watchman, I’m sorry at the moment I’m unable to view videos properly as my Supplier is not providing the speed that is necessary, so I can only share what Jesus has shown me in regard to fear.
Perfect Love casts out fear and this is not as the world sees perfection but a Love built on Trusting God even in the hard times … God is Faithful and if we seek Him with all our heart we will have no doubt He is Trustworthy and so we will have His fulfilment and Peace but not the worlds pale imitation of it brought by worldly pursuits that leaves us empty in the end, we will also Love and Trust God with all our being. To know God is to Love Him, this is why we are to seach for Him with all our heart, we can’t force Love it must come from our heart indwelt and overflowing and when we Love God we don’t want to hurt Him, we willingly want to obey Him and by The Spirits empowering we can and when our flesh has been put to death we show 100% that we have Salvation which is a free gift that God does not take back if we have indeed received it.
We no longer live under the fear of breaking the Law as those did in the Old Testament, we have been set free from the slavery of sin by God’s sacrificial Love in Christ Jesus, this is not a Saccharine sweet love but a Holy Love that is willing to give all and not count the cost, not because of fear but because of Love for our Abba Father and our Spiritual Husband.
To claim God does evil shows fleshy fear of God not reference, the only time we have to fear punishment is when we do evil because we will reap what we sow. As we can see below in the Scripture God does not willingly afflict us. God does not beat us into submission as sadly some Parents do their Children, this does not promote respect, violence breads violence, anger and fear, this is not what the Scriptures are referring to when it talks about the Rod and Paul was not talking about self harm when he said I beat my body….. I will share more about this some other time.
Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
1 John 4:16-19 And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is Love; and he that dwelleth in Love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our Love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in Love; but perfect Love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in Love. We Love Him, because He first Loved us.
Hmmm the Video started as I was writing, I will listen to it fully now but I did make mention in regard to some of what David shared.
