Hi guys, I’m sorry I’ve been a bit AWOL. I had some issue to deal with but God has been faithful through them all. I am dedicating today’s post to a group of special people. By special people, I mean those who are waiting on God for something He promised. That makes all of us!
I call you special because it is counter-intuitive to hope against hope like Abraham did. I call you special because in a world that demands us to live by sight, you trust God enough to walk by faith. I call you special because against the wind of circumstance, you have chosen to heed the Master’s call to “come” and like Peter, you have left your comfort zone and stepped out of the boat. I call you special because like Caleb and Joshua, though you have seen the giants in your promised land, you believe that with God on your side, your opposition will only become your bread for tomorrow. I call you special because even though your implicit trust has been labelled as ludicrous by those around you, you have chosen to set your face towards Christ like a flint.
Why am I doing this now you may ask? It is because God gave me a word concerning a situation that seemed impossible to overcome from the natural senses. More than that, eight months ago, He showed me how certain events would play out. He probably did that because He knew my faith was not strong enough to go through the coming storm without me taking my eyes off Jesus and sinking in the process. In the place of prayer, He also showed me exactly when the situation would be resolved. Brothers and Sisters in Christ let me testify and say that God’s word came to pass in my life to the last letter. Everything unfolded just as He promised it would.
I cannot stand here and pretend as though I stood on His promises without shaking over the past eight months. I cannot deny that my faith wavered seriously in that time frame. I cannot say that I wasn’t tempted at some points to take matters into my own hands and try to ‘help’ God like Abraham did. I cannot say that there weren’t those very low points where I wondered where God was and if He truly gave me that word eight months ago. I cannot claim that people’s criticisms opinions about me regarding my belief in what He promised hurt real bad. It wasn’t an easy journey and it won’t be for you either. Always remember that a trial period will work things into your character and add deeper levels of intimacy to your relationship with God.
Here I am now. I am stunned by His faithfulness and the precision of His promise to me. It didn’t come a day earlier or later. It didn’t involve any intervention on my part. God did it all by Himself just as He promised me months ago.
Whatever it is that God has promised you as an individual, I want you to trust in Him with all your heart and not lean on your understanding. I want you to tap into the Spirit of prophecy in these words I have written and declare that if God can do it for this man then he can surely come through for me. The key is not to become fixated by the promise but rather by the One Who has promised. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and the rest will follow through naturally. Ladies and Gentlemen, our God will never fail. He is able to do that which He has promised. God bless you all.
until what he had said came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him. – Psalm 105:19

Hallelujah!! Praise God for His faithfulness to you, Chidi, and for doing the impossible for you!! I can practically feel how your faith in the Lord has grown and how you have matured through this process. To God be the glory! He is good and everything He does is good! His timing is perfect. His Word is flawless! I am encouraged so much!! I have been hearing God tell me to trust Him and to wait on Him in certain things, Unlike you, I don’t have the details, but I know He is faithful. This helps me to keep moving forward in faith, waiting patiently but expectantly. Thank you, again, for sharing your life. May the Lord continue to guide you by His Spirit in you on His path and may your life lived in Jesus continue to reveal Him to everyone around you!
Keep pressing towards the goal Natalie! Your faith in Him will never be put to shame. You were absolutely spot on in saying that the journey accelerated my spiritual growth and maturity. I cannot overstate how much the whole episode impacted me for the good. Your hope and expectation will never be cut short Natalie. He makes everything beautiful in its time. God bless you
Thank you as always for a word in season!
I have been in my waiting season for a while now and it can be one of the most trying things ever BUT God is faithful and my testimony is that God is teaching me so much. I feel like I have grown in many many ways. My expectations have not been realised yet but I am assured and comforted that He is faithful! I’m holding on to God and I am learning to trust in Him implicitly. It’s difficult but I have learnt that it is well worth it!
God bless you and I look forward to hearing your testimony(ies)
Thanks 1! As you have chosen to place your faith in Him, your expectation will never be cut short. I tell you! He will make everything beautiful in its time and you will be like they that dreamed. In the fullness of time, God will show Himself strong on your behalf. If I have any regrets, its only that there were times when I wasn’t going through the trial with joy in my heart. Be encouraged sister! Your morning is on the horizon. Thanks again 1
Halleluyah, Halleluyah and Halleluyah again!!!!
Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father (James 1:17).. HE gives us faith,so that we can return it to HIM and HIS Purposes can be accomplished. That is the only way we can have faith, more so for the impossible.
Mark 11:22 reads “May the faith of God be in you.” in the Aramaic Bible in Plain English.
JESUS knows where the faith for the impossible comes from (Matthew 19:26). We may need the faith to flow through us, but HE knows our condition and HE helps us!
You may think on your weaker moments, but I believe HE says “well done Good and Faithful Servant”!
Romans 11:36 – For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.
Mr T! Thanks and thanks again bro! You have been a pillar of support and encouragement through it all. As you fed on Christ, you shared what became a part of you with me. May you be richly rewarded for your labour of love. May the God kind of faith continually be in your heart. Thanks bro
HALLELUJAH!!! Thank you for sharing Chidi. I appreciate it and I will echo the words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer (Meditations of the Cross) here to applaud you for sharing this testimony
- We prevent God from giving us the great spiritual gifts He has in store for us, because we do not give thanks for daily gifts. We think we dare not be satisfied with the small measure of spiritual knowledge, experience, and love that has been given to us, and that we must constantly be looking forward eagerly for the highest good. Then we deplore the fact that we lack the deep certainty, the strong faith, and the rich experience that God has given to others, and we consider this lament to be pious. We pray for the big things and forget to give thanks for the ordinary, small (and yet really not small) gifts. How can God entrust great things to one who will not thankfully receive from Him the little things?
THANK U for sharing your testimony. This testimony is a timely word for me as it corroborates some of the things I am going through. Here are some of the truths that jumped at me:
- I cannot help God. He is more than able to accomplish and fulfill His purpose for my life (Ps 138:8a)
- My wavering faith cannot stop God
Finally, I would like to share this scripture. We would be careful and wise to take note of the “I”s & who is doing the work as it reinforces the theme not “helping” God:
- Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do. (Isa 46:9-11)
Wow Tolu! Thanks so much for your comment. I mean that. As I read your comment, my spirit really got excited by the fact that you have truly grasped the deeper understanding of developing a heart of gratitude. That scripture you shared from Isaiah speaks very prophetically into my situation. As you stand on His word, I pray that all the Goliaths standing in your way will have no choice but to come down in Jesus name. Thanks so much Tolu. I’m encouraged
Hi Watchman, thank you for your words of encouragement and for exercising your Trust and Faith in The Lord, a wonderful example to follow. I too was given a promise 5 years ago and 3 signs which have been confirmed, do I doubt they will come to pass at times, I have questioned but I know God does not say one thing and mean another, I know He is faithful.
Christian Love from both of us – Anne.
Hi Anne. His promise to you will certainly come to pass in His perfect timing. He is faithful to watch over His word and perform it. May His grace continually strengthen you in God’s waiting room. Thanks Anne
Thank you Watchman!!! not so long ago you said the very same words God promised me through Scripture 5 years ago and as I shared, they were confirmed 3 times later in unexplainable ways and now once again you reasure me that my waiting has not been in vain, and even now I can see the early signs of His promise being fufilled.
God bless you greatly – In Jesus’ Love – Anne
