We often talk about the cost of following Christ but perhaps it is also worth looking closely at the cost of not following Him.
A decision not to follow Christ is probably the costliest mistake anyone will make in this lifetime. I pray that anyone watching this video who is yet to make a decision to follow Christ will seriously reconsider. It is not only a matter of where one’s soul rests eternally but also the abundant life that we miss out on in trying to live a life without Christ. I do not know what this fellow says in the video clip, I am deaf, and the closed caption thingy don’t work too good. Doesn’t matter. I get the gist. To not walk with Jesus, to stop following Jesus, is to become empty in one’s soul, heart, spirit.
Case in point:
Tortured for Christ, by Richard Wurmbrand.
Reading this 170 pages book, it brought home to me what these COMMUNISTS did to Christians; they MURDERED, they FORCES, they RAPED, they TORTURED, Christians who refused to give up Lord Jesus Christ for their athiestic communism, that are EMPTY, SOULESS, DEAD.
If nothing else impressed you, then consider this, one after another, COMMUNISTS themselves, seeks out Christians and convert to Christianity, all because their SOULS was in pain, EMPTY, DEAD, and thus they KNOWS communism doesn’t fill their heart, nor saves them. It is JESUS who SAVES, not anything else that man makes up, as communism is man-made, as atheism is man-made, as all the other religions are man-made, all of them traditions of man!
Jesus, however, is REAL, and the ONLY SALVATION we can lay CLAIM to, and with Him, we have PEACE of MIND, PEACE of SOUL, PEACE of HEART… nothing else can claim that miracle!
My grandfather was from Belarus. He watched his family being murdered, massacred, by the Bolshelviks when the Russian Revolution got going. He hid under piles of wood with a peasant (his family estate worker), and survived the Bolsheviks’ madness of blood lust.
His wife, years later, my nanna, was Arab Bedouin, from Nazareth, Palestine. She was orphaned along with her three sisters, when a different Arab Bedouin rival tribe came and wiiped her Arab Bedouin tribe family out. They was rescued by the Russian Christian Orthodox Missionary. I surmised, the missionaries knew them, had converted them, and thus invited the wrath of Arab Bedouins who may probably were Allah worshippers. I thank Jesus that my Nanna believes in Him, not some moon rock named Allah, which I find silly! For me, Jesus is t he REAL deal. No other religion can claim to have DIED for US, and ROSE from the DEAD for US! So that we may claim Jesus for our SALVATION! And we keeps the Sabbath day as a symbol of FREEDOM, to love and worship and have faith and believe in JESUS, for NOTHING ELSE will saves us, exept JESUS, for JESUS LOVES US ALL UNCONDITIONALLY.
Didn’t you read that? Jesus offers UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, and that’s amazing, for no other religion offers that, they may claims to but their actions disproved their assertations, only JESUS offers this. It’s amazing, this is.
I have long hated the communists, not realising that my hate was misdirected. Ever since I was a kid being told that this group of evil people murdered my family in Belarus and elsewhere, I have HATED the communists, and their atheisism, communism, socialism, fascism, nazism, globalism, new world orderism, any who follows these dead atheism religions are dead evil, that’s what I considers them to be.
But, the writer of Tortured for Christ, Richard Wurmbrand, says, “Love the SINNERS, hate the SIN.” And like that, I began to understand. I’m a sinner, I hate bad things, but I realised, it’s not the people who are bad, but the things that make them go bad… so I hate the sin, and loves the sinners. Ah well. So now I understand better.
Communists, be not afraid of Jesus! For Jesus loves you, and wants you to give up the dead religion of communism, to follow Him, who made you, knew you in your mother’s womb, and desires you to come to Him with love in your heart, not hate. This goes for all, from socialists, to globalists, even to those blind New Agers who are not as smart as they thinks they are. Jesus KNOWS you all, is waiting for you all to give up the silly ways of old and follow Him, to salvation!

Lucifer HATES all of us. His works is the dead religions, the evil dead political systems, all that. Do ye understand?
Jesus LOVES all of us, unconditionally. He waits for us to wakens, to the truth, and come to Him and accepts him, into our hearts, and become new, born again, and be strong, tested by the dead stuff, and we becomes stronger, so much stronger in our Faith in Jesus. For Jesus is the ONLY way, the TRUTH, and the LIFE! No man can come into God, except through Jesus.
For we are not gods, we are not anything, we are only poor little SINNERS, for that is all we are. The only saving grace is through Jesus, for that is how it will be and always will be, through Jesus we have salvation, for through Jesus we will be made NEW, in a new life everlasting. Oh boy, ain’t that great!? It sure does, man!
No matter what the world says, I’ll still follow Jesus, with every fibre of my mind, heart, soul, and body. For I know there is true Salvation with Jesus, nothing else. Nothing of this world will stay, for this world will passes away, yet the Word, Jesus, still stays!

There’s so much meat packed into your comment it will take a while to digest it all. I have a copy of Tortured in Christ but I’m yet to read it. I think that will be on my shortlist now seeing how much the book really blessed you. Thank you for also sharing things about your personal family life and so on. I truly pray that the same love of Christ that transformed your life and coloured your testimony will touch the hearts of those reading your comments. It is for this very reason that I started this blog. I know I am a flawed sinner who doesn’t have all the answers and will definitely stumble from time to time. But I have a desire to please God and glorify His name. This is precisely what is happening here. Your testimony is glorifying His name before hundreds of people reading this blog. The greatest proof that Jesus is alive is the fact that He is still in the process of transforming lives. I thank God for your life and those of other believers who are surrendered to the sanctifying work of His Spirit. He will take us from glory to glory. Keep following Him all the way.
