Pastor Robert Morris is one of my favourite preachers. He preached what I consider to be the best series on tithing and biblical finance called ‘The Blessed Life’. In this sermon however, Pastor Morris talks about the Jezebel spirit and how many of us are tolerating it without even realising. I bet some of you are wondering what on earth the Jezebel spirit is! Hi Watchman, time for me to be serious both with this post and the next one, no more green line dancing but I do indeed appreciate your funny bone and it is fun tickling it, but there is a time for everything, so I’m thankful that you also let me share on your Blog God’s Truth that He gives to encourage and uplift His Children. Many will find this teaching on the Jezebel spirit hard to accept but it is all confirmed in the Scriptures.
The Jezebel spirit and it’s influence is evidenced by the sinful actions of the evil flesh nature according to Scripture and Jesus’ words in Revelation 2:20 Not withstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a Prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
These are some of the Prophetess of the Bible, Miriam, Deborah, Huldah, Noadiah, Anna these woman like those in the early Church, rebuked, corrected error, and warned of impending danger, they were under God’s Authority and spoke His Truth but they never Preached in the Temple or Synagogues, The Jews came to them for instruction, they were married or had been and so were also under the Authority of their husbands or those appointed to Leadership in the early Church..
Those woman with the Jezebel spirit are not Prophetess of God but call themselves this, they are false teachers and this is evidenced because they usurp Authority over men and teach them Heresy, they manipulate the flesh of those under their Authority to get their own way and so cause them to reject God’s Truth and live in sin, evidenced by their words and actions which they then claim are acceptable to God.
Jezebel’s spirit promotes fleshy false teaching which is offered as bread and wine for nourishment to those who accept there deception and Authority, it is saturated with Paganism and appeals to the flesh of man and woman but is opposed to the Scriptures in the Bible which is God’s written word, confirmed by Jesus The Living Word as His Truth. God created Man to be in Leadership and woman to be his Helpmate from the beginning of Creation, any woman the seeks to be in Authority over men and teach them in this position will be in danger of deception and false teaching will result, which she will them feed to the flesh orientated men and woman that she manipulates.
There are woman who are true Prophetess of God today as Prophesied that there would be, but they will always be willing to submit to Men’s Authority in the home, Church and positions in Business and Government., they will not seek to be Ordained or teach men in this position but they will share God’s Truth and always with the confirmation of Scripture.

I particularly found your response very interesting in an age where the world is keen on girl power and things like that. I think a woman under God’s authority who lives by the scriptures is an epitome of grace, inner strength and beauty. Thanks again for your insight.
Dear Watchman thank you for such a accepting response but I would like to affirm it is not my perspective that I share although of course I agree, it is what God tells us in His word. Pastor Robert Morris was describing the results of the flesh in many of it’s manifestation which can be caused through the teaching of those woman with the Jezebel’s spirit because they do not affirm God’s Truth but trust in their own understanding, logic, reasoning and fleshy wisdom and yes man can also do this and it is the reason that there is so much error in teaching today.
Eve was deceived and so sinned Adam sinned by choosing to disobey and God said to him…. Genesis 3:17 And unto Adam He said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Adam listened to Eve and disobeyed God and so he lost his Territory and Authority and it has happened right through the ages and is still happing today, the small voice of temptation can come from a woman not just the devil. A woman who is in Christ Jesus will not be deceived or deceive others she will submit to Authority and accept with thankfulness her God given role which is to be a Helpmate physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually to those men in Authority over her, this is a high calling which can only be achieved by the empowering of the Holy Spirit but it will bring contentment and fulfilment.
There is so more Watchman that needs to be shared about Men and Woman’s God given roles and if you want me to continue please ask or I will move on to the other post.

Hi Watchman thank you for permission to share God’s Truth on your Blog and it is True that it is not limited to just me but to all those who ask for God’s wisdom and believe they have received it and without doubt there is only one Truth, God’s Truth and it is His Truth that I share not my own understanding. It is up to each person to accept or reject God’s Truth, of course they can say I don’t have it, but then they are saying they can’t and their also saying God does not keep His promises and that He lies when He tells us His Truths in the Scriptures and if we really think this then do we really believe we have Salvation or that there is a Heaven waiting for us……
James 1:4-6 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
If you have doubts about what I share Watchman then test my spirit, are the Truths that I share in Scripture or are they from my own understanding, do the Scriptures confirm them or not?

Hi Anne. Thanks for ur comment. I really am only interested in providing a platform for all of us to learn and be blessed and challenged. Let the scriptures and the Spirit be the judge. I personally have no qualms with anyone sharing their mind. In fact I encourage it. But let’s learn in love, peace and harmony. The Spirit is revealing God’s truth to us in diverse ways. We are one Body being built up under on Head. I value your wisdom and passion on this blog. Don’t doubt that. Like you said, all you can do is present the truth of His word. Hi Watchman do you believe what you share on this blog is true ? I don’t share what’s in my mind but what is in my heart, it is not Love to not share God’s Truth regardless of how it is accepted and yes The Scriptures tell us that itching ears will only want to hear what they want to hear.
I agree God uses many ways to share His Truth but there is only one Truth and it is confirmed in the Scriptures . The Holy Spirit does not say one thing to one person and something differant to another when they contradict we are to be of one mind and focus God brings unity not division, man does that.
Philippians 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in Peace; and the God of Love and Peace shall be with you.

What’s really on your mind Anne? Are you accusing me of something or implying something else? I’m sorry but sometimes It’s not very clear to me what your comments are trying to communicate. Let’s be clear about one thing: I started this blog out to glorify God ultimately. He and He alone sees my heart and knows my intentions. I don’t feel the need to be distracted from the main goal of glorifying Him on this blog by channeling my energy and focus to constantly defending myself. If that continues then I will have no choice but to make some necessary changes. We are meant to be on the same team.

Watchman, please allow me to say that you are doing a great work in the Lord through this blog. There will be those who will try and approach you in the same manner as Nehemiah was approached in an attempt to make you come down from place God has called you to occupy but I admonish you to stay on the wall.

When I hear people like morris and many others say that god has told them to tell the rest of us something and that we should pay close attention to it why doesn’t it become scripture? This is how we got the bible. Men were given enlightenment through the Holy Spirit to write down what later became known as scripture. We have the apocroypha which christians denied to be sacred, same with many other early writings of the first couple of centuries Much debate went into the books we now have as scripture. Aren’t we suppose to be like the Bereans and prove the scriptures. Isn’t the Bible a self portrait of God. Isn’ t God’s self revealation in the scriptures enough to guide truly regenerate people to daily glorify God. Do we really need people claiming god has spoken to them for us. We must always remember that the “father of lies can pretend to be light”
