Album Review: God Is Able by Hillsong Live

Let me start by saying that this has to be the quickest album I’ve ever liked enough to recommend to people! Having purchased my copy on iTunes less than a week ago, I’ve been impressed enough to want to do an album review and strongly encourage you guys to listen to worship masterpiece that is ‘God is Able’.

Hillsong have been prolific in blessing us with worship songs inspired by the Spirit of God and expressed through musical geniuses like Joel Houston and Darlene Zschech. This is yet another fantastic addition to the Hillsong collection. Each track is blessed with deeply touching and relatable lyrics that glorify God and shed His love abroad in our hearts afresh.

As expected with any Hillsong material, the acoustics are on point, the vocals are second to none and the lyrics are inspired by the Spirit of God. There is a lot to enjoy on this album and I would highly recommend it if only to listen to instant classics like ‘Rise’, ‘Unending Love’, ‘God is Able’, and ‘Cry of the Broken’. Not their best work but nevertheless another great effort.

Watchman Rating: 7.5 out of 10.

yeah me too Waila! It’s not quite up there with ‘This is Our God’ for me personally but it’s fantastic nonetheless.
