I asked for provision…
And God found me a great job
I asked for the perfect wife
And God gave me an imperfect woman so I could love like Him
I asked for knowledge…
And God gave me the funds to invest in books and study materials
I asked for self-confidence…
And God allowed me to experience my need for God-confidence
I asked for patience…
And God orchestrated events to ensure that all I could do was wait patiently for Him
I asked for humility…
And God asked me to submit myself to flawed people.
I asked for love…
And God surrounded me with broken people I could serve
I asked for boldness…
And God put me in circumstances where I had to overcome fear.
I asked for peace…
And God gave me storms that I had to learn to sleep through
I asked for favour…
And God opened many doors and asked me to walk into them
I asked for increased revelation…
And God gave me an insatiable appetite for His Word
I asked God to speak more clearly to me…
And God beckoned me to be still and listen more intently for His voice
I asked God to answer my prayers…
And He chose to give me nothing I asked for
I asked God and look what He gave me…
